The India Operations Centre team at Chennai, Bangalore and Gurugram supports Hitachi Energy’s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Hitachi Energy to date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries

How You’ll Make An Impact

• You will be a part of the GIS Primary Offer Engineering team.
• You will be supporting the Sales & Tendering engineers to develop Tender specific engineering documents and drawings for calculating right cost and drawings submission to customer as part of offer documentation.
• This role complete involved in Primary Engineering of Gas Insulated Switchgears (GIS) of transmission and sub-transmission systems.
• You will be an individual contributor who would deliver the tasks as per the given inputs and when required need to work in coordination with other colleagues and should exhibit good collaborative skills to complete the task.
• You may also interact with other departments like Secondary engineering, Steel structure engineering, Project Management and Production units.
• Preparation of drawings and documents for customer submission for Gas Insulated Switchgear above 66kV.
• The major deliverables are listed below, but not limited to Gas SLD, GIS Lay out, cable tray layout, earthing layout, Cabling overview and assembly overview.
• System resistance, Thermal loss, Gas volume, Earthing mat and Cable calculations
• Bill of material calculation
• Preparation of cost estimation based on the BOM generated.
• Self-review & review of peer’s documents
• Coordinating with the other team members, Sales Support engineers & Area sales Managers
• Strong in Design to value (DtV) and preparation on optimized solutions considering customer requirements.
• Directly responsible for maintaining and updating the documentation for respective projects / Tenders as per quality process.
• Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background

• B.E in Electrical & Electronics Engineering/Equivalent.
• Years of experience: 3 – 8 years tendering or design of LV, MV, HV or EHV products
• Good knowledge in CAD tools (AutoCAD, Creo/Equivalent).
• Good knowledge about substations.
• Familiarity with standards like IEC, IEEE, ANSI etc will be an added advantage
• Team player, able to handle requests with short timelines and prepare solutions on time.
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
