Support digital transformation in engineering operations

Drive PLM excellence across global engineering teams

As a PLM Engineer, you will support the UET and UEP teams in their PLM activities, acting as a power user and guiding others in best practices. You will be responsible for creating and managing 3D models, drawings, and documentation, while also contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the PLM system. Your role will be central to ensuring data quality, process efficiency, and user support across departments.

Your responsibility will be to:

  • Support Windchill implementation and ensure minimal disruption to engineering operations
  • Guide and train users on PLM best practices and tools
  • Create and manage 3D models, drawings, and technical documentation
  • Coordinate project-specific templates and folders in Windchill
  • Collaborate with engineering & cross functional teams to improve PLM processes and customizations
  • Support in onboarding the teams & legacy data migration
  • BOM transformation from tender phase, project phase , installation phase & service
  • Define requirements from business to support various integration like SAP, xBOM, MES

You will be based in Chennai and report to the Engineering Manager. The role includes 1–2 months of training with the Engineering team in Karlskrona, Sweden.

Experienced PLM Professional With Engineering Expertise

You are a proactive and structured individual who thrives in a collaborative environment. You enjoy solving complex problems, supporting others, and continuously improving systems and processes. Your open communication style and results-oriented mindset make you a valuable team player.

You also have:

  • A BTech or MTech degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 6–8 years of experience as a mechanical engineer
  • Hands-on experience with Windchill change management
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and technical documentation
  • Knowledge of classification and attributes in PLM systems

Preferred: Experience with SAP and multilingual skills in Swedish or German.
