Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager based out of Chennai to oversee and streamline our Agri Drone Services. The role involves managing daily operations, coordinating with drone pilots and technicians, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and delivering efficient and high-quality services to farmers and agribusiness clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage end-to-end drone service operations across multiple locations.
• Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for drone deployment, safety, and maintenance.
• Plan, schedule, and allocate resources (pilots, equipment, and drones) to meet project deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with DGCA/aviation regulations, safety protocols, and company policies.
• Monitor drone performance, analyse operational data, and suggest process improvements.
• Manage a team of drone pilots, field operators, and technicians, ensuring training and upskilling as required.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients for smooth service delivery.
• Troubleshoot operational challenges and ensure timely resolution in the field.
• Prepare and present operational performance reports to senior management.
  
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
• Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in operations management, preferably in agriculture, drone technology, or agri-tech services.
• Knowledge of UAV/drone technology and agricultural practices is an added advantage.
  
  
  

• Strong operations and project management skills.
• Good understanding of drone applications in agriculture (spraying, mapping, imaging, crop monitoring).
• Knowledge of aviation/drone’s regulatory compliance
• Leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication, client management, and coordination skills.
  
  
  

• Willingness to travel to field/project locations as required.
