What you’ll be doing...

You will contribute to creating, operating, and supporting Agile services and tools, specifically Jira and Confluence, for mission and business-critical applications within the organization. Under the mentorship of senior staff, you will work as a key team member to ensure these platforms are optimized and effectively support agile development methodologies.

• Administering, configuring, and optimizing enterprise agile tools like Atlassian (Jira/Confluence) / Tuleap / Azure devops / Clickup / Monday instances to meet project and team requirements.
• Managing user access, permissions, and security within enterprise agile tools
• Developing and implementing custom workflows, schemes, and automation rules within enterprise agile tools to enhance team efficiency.
• Creating and maintaining Confluence spaces and pages, ensuring content organization and knowledge sharing.
• Providing technical support and training to users on Jira and Confluence best practices and functionalities.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Jira and Confluence performance, integrations, and user experience.
• Collaborating with development teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions that improve agile processes.
• Monitoring system health, performance, and usage of Jira and Confluence, identifying areas for improvement.
• Evaluating and integrating new plugins or add-ons to extend Jira and Confluence capabilities.
• Performing regular maintenance tasks, including backups, upgrades, patches and cleanup for Jira and Confluence.
• Evaluating and implementing AI-powered features in agile tools like Atlassian Intelligence for Jira and Confluence to enhance team productivity and collaboration. This could include using AI to generate issue summaries, draft and edit documentation, and translate content for a global workforce
• Implementing AI-driven solutions and plugins to further automate agile workflows and provide predictive insights, such as AI for summarizing meeting notes in Confluence or using Gen AI to assist with project planning in Jira.

You are a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of agile methodologies and a passion for supporting development teams. You are adept at problem-solving and can effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. You thrive in a dynamic work environment and are committed to continuous improvement of agile tools and processes.

Youll Need To Have

• Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of work experience.
• Two or more years of relevant work experience in Jira and Confluence administration.
• Solid understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with workflow configuration, custom fields, and screens in Jira.
• Knowledge of Jira Query Language (JQL) for advanced reporting and filtering.
• One or more years of experience in AI powered agile administration
• Familiarity with Confluence space administration, permissions, and macros.
• Understanding of provisioning, operating, and managing AWS environments.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  
  

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Experience with Jira Service Management or other ITSM tools.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, Python) for Jira automation.
• Familiarity with REST APIs for integrating Jira and Confluence with other systems.
• Experience with other Atlassian products such as Bitbucket or Fisheye/Crucible.
• Certification in Jira or Confluence administration.
• Experience working in a large enterprise environment.
• Exposure to Observability tools like Newrelic, Dynatrace, Catchpoint, Grafana, Prometheus would be added advantage
• Exposure to AI-powered observability tools that use machine learning to detect anomalies and predict system issues before they occur.
• Understanding of DevOps tooling and CI/CD practices as they relate to agile project management.
• Familiarity with the application of AI and Gen AI tools within the agile development lifecycle is a plus.
