Planning Systems Specialist

The candidate needs to support the Planning /SPCPS & MF Business Manager as a Functional / Data expert using Kinaxis Rapid Response and Java based application and responsible to deliver the following

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all Planning activities in SPCPS & MF. Publish relevant KPI’s (leading/lagging indicators) which measure the health of the Planning process (Vehicle as well as Service support)
  • Work with regional MP&L & Sales planning team to help author mix authoring in SPCPS Kinaxis
  • Provide creative solutions to complex business problems while maintaining best practices.
  • Drive and co-ordinate Inbound integration / data load activities from various applications.
  • Regional/Global/Governance/Approval meetings.
  • Check and verify data robustness to support seamless mix authoring at feature level in Kinaxis based applications.
  • Interact with technical, data & IT team members to diagnose and resolve incidents in Kinaxis.
  • Interact with business / IT to document, follow and implement functional enhancements.
  • Coordinate with the PDO / Codification / IT teams to pull new definitions into application.
  • Drive deployment plan and implementation dates.
  • Bring issues which require escalation/help to the leadership team for support.
  • Create workbooks, worksheets, alerts, schedule task, scorecards, automation chain and dashboards in Rapid response.
  • Work closely with Kinaxis Solution Architect to develop a business process design that leverages RapidResponse capabilities, Providing high levels of customer service.
  • Support/Ensure alignment and adequate delivery of all GDIA dashboard initiatives.
  • Interface with other Ford departments (within MP&L, IT, GDIA, GOTD, FCSD, Sales and Marketing, Finance, PD, Plants etc.)


Criteria

  • Solid understanding of S&OP, S&OE, Demand Planning, Inventory Management and Logistics
  • Fair understanding of business data, planning parameters, and business logic used in the demand planning, allocation and capacity process.
  • Technology proficiency and understanding of emerging/leading technologies related to supply chain.
  • Hands on experience in ERP and other material management systems.
  • Having knowledge of SPCPS Kinaxis and Rapid response
  • MP&L Experience.
  • Project management skills.
  • Good communication and analytical/Problem skills.
  • Experience in Process Re-engineering/Analytics and Data mining.
  • Experience in benchmarking and process documentation
  • Willingness to work across time zones.


Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engg / Supply Chain Management/Related Fields
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience
