Job Description

A Quality Control (QC) Officer is a pivotal role in ensuring that products or services align with the company's quality standards and comply with industry regulations. This professional is responsible for monitoring and testing products, processes, and systems to ensure they meet predefined quality parameters. The QC Officer uses a variety of testing techniques and tools to inspect products and materials at various stages of production to minimize defects and ensure consistency. They work closely with production teams to address quality issues and implement quality control procedures. The ideal candidate possesses excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and has a strong understanding of quality standards and regulatory guidelines pertinent to their industry. A QC Officer also plays a critical role in making recommendations for process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the company’s reputation for excellence.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections and tests on products and processes to ensure quality compliance.
  • Document inspection results by completing reports and logs accurately and timely.
  • Identify quality problems or defects and recommend corrective actions to management.
  • Work alongside production teams to address and resolve quality control issues promptly.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to enhance product consistency and reliability.
  • Maintain calibration of quality control equipment and perform routine maintenance as necessary.
  • Stay updated with industry quality standards and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Train and guide production staff on quality assurance processes and standards adherence.
  • Monitor and analyze statistical data to identify trends and quality improvement opportunities.
  • Liaise with suppliers to resolve quality issues and ensure materials meet specifications.
  • Assist in the development and review of company quality documentation and processes.
  • Ensure continuous communication with all involved departments regarding quality performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Manufacturing, Engineering, or Quality Assurance.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in quality control or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of quality control standards, techniques, and industry regulations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify quality risks efficiently.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills pertinent to quality assessment.
  • Proficient in using quality control software tools and statistical analysis software.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with diverse teams.
