We are seeking a passionate and motivated Junior PHP WordPress Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience (academic or internship) with WordPress and PHP, and a strong understanding of front-end development. You’ll be working closely with our design and development teams to bring UI/UX designs to life, customize themes and plugins, and contribute to building responsive, high-performance websites.

Core Responsibilities

Convert Figma / UI designs into high-quality, responsive WordPress pages using page builders like Divi, Elementor, Avada, or similar tools.
Customize WordPress themes and templates based on design and functional specifications.
Collaborate with designers, senior developers, and cross-functional teams to implement features and resolve technical issues.
Develop or enhance custom WordPress plugins using PHP, JavaScript, and WordPress APIs.
Optimize websites for performance, SEO, mobile responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.
Ensure consistency in design and user experience across multiple projects and platforms.
Maintain and update existing websites, perform regular site audits and fixes.

Required Skills

Good understanding of WordPress architecture, themes, and plugins.
Basic knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL.
Familiarity with front-end frameworks and responsive design practices.
Experience with WordPress page builders like Elementor, Divi, or Avada.
Ability to debug issues using browser dev tools and logs.
Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and problem-solving mindset.

Nice to have

Experience with version control tools like Git.
Familiarity with SEO best practices.
Basic understanding of REST APIs and JSON.
Exposure to website deployment, migration, or staging environments.

Qualifications

B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or related fields
Excellent Verbal/Written Communication Skills.
