You will be part of the Business Services team with overall responsibility for coordinating the Reinsurance business managed by Asia Branches.
Responsible for efficient and high-quality administrative handling of the reinsurance business of clients. Provide efficient support to Client Markets, Underwriters and Pricing teams.
Contribute to the improvement of the systems and processes in order to achieve higher efficiency and quality
Act as a business-expert for Swiss Re Administrative tools, process and guidelines, maintain the methodology on process.
Analyze sophisticated technical problems and deliver solutions with clear standards
About The Role
Co-ordination with stakeholders and regional BS for smooth functioning of BS origination e2e processes of Treaty
Assistance to the Client Markets operations ensures standard reporting of the market units are done in timely manner with high quality
Handle assigned portfolio internally – check Terms and Conditions, analyse submission data, investigate and resolve data issues, review and report treaty exposure data (YoY developments, material changes) and load information to costing tools, prepare specific client or portfolio related data and documents, draft offers, onboard business E2E (incl. tool support and record management), support Special Acceptances, deal with ad-hoc requests from UW / CUW, engage and communicate with internal stakeholders Support the client relationship – communicate directly with clients, clarify and follow up on any issues and potentially be part of negotiations
Operate as ONE with all your stakeholders to continuously understand business needs, remove roadblocks and equally contribute by sharing your knowledge as well as best practice
Drive operational excellence and automation: systematically challenge and enhance Swiss Re processes and systems in order to increase efficiency and effectiveness
Support and ensure (external and internal) audit compliance
Ensure good connect and collaboration with broader BS teams/ experts based in regions.
About You
Professional experience
Minimum of 7 years working experience in Insurance or Reinsurance – preferably with experience in Reinsurance concepts
Proficient reinsurance/insurance knowledge and business processes
Proficient in understanding of Business services and related upstream and downstream functions Good Stakeholder management – Client Manager, Underwriter, Client Underwriter
Data savviness and attention to detail, high level of confidence/practical know how in working with large data files (e.g., NatCat data) and graphical & structured representation of data
Critical thinking paired with excellent analytical, problem solving and storyboarding skills Strong customer focus with commercial service and delivery orientation
Strong sense of ownership, impeccable time management and positive can-do attitude Effective communication & engagement with team and business partners
Fair experience in defining and driving operational excellence, continuous improvement practices and training programs Fluent English is a must
Educational Qualifications
Masters/Degree in natural science or a quantitative field (Commerce, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Sciences) and modelling or previous underwriting experience – a plus
Proficient in Word/ Excel / PowerPoint and Power BI
