The role will be based in Bayanhult, Bangalore digital Hub, with talents from all over the world working on digital products that enable IKEA to serve our many customers. Our co-workers will work in cross-functional teams together with our other digital hubs in Sweden, Amsterdam, Madrid, Shanghai and Philadelphia.

A DAY IN YOUR LIFE WITH US

Design, develop and deploy high-quality, scalable applications using a variety of technologies, including Node.js, React and Python
- Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to implementation, testing and deployment
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to manage and provision cloud resources
- Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred)
- Design and implement data processing pipelines using GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions and Cloud Storage
- Work with data orchestration services like Cloud Scheduler, Cloud Workflows and Cloud Composer
- Interact with databases such as BigQuery, Cloud SQL and Cloud Firestore
- Develop and maintain SQL queries and utilize DBT for data transformation
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in Python, leveraging frameworks like FastAPI, Pydantic and Pytest
- Knowledge of event-based processing frameworks like EventBridge(AWS), PubSub and Streaming dataflows
- Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving our development processes
- Mentor and guide junior engineers
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in software engineering and cloud computing
