Senior RF Hardware Engineer

Job Title: Senior RF Engineer Location: Bengaluru | Job Type: Full-Time | Experience Level: 4+yrs Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled RF Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, simulation, implementation, and testing of RF circuits and systems for various applications. This role requires strong technical expertise in RF and microwave design principles, hands-on lab experience, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving. Key Responsibilities:

• Experience with different wireless communication Technology such as LTE, NR, WiFi, mmWave, BT, GNSS.
• Design and develop RF and microwave circuits such as amplifiers, filters, mixers, oscillators, couplers, power dividers and antennas.
• Perform simulations using tools like ADS, HFSS, CST, or similar.
• Knowledge about S-parameters, Smith chart, Link budgeting, Impedance matching etc.
• Conduct component selection, schematic capture, and PCB layout in collaboration with hardware team.
• Validate designs through prototyping, testing, and debugging using lab equipment (VNA, spectrum analysers, communication analyser, Signal generator, Oscilloscope, Multimeter etc.). 2
• Responsible for testing and verification of Transmitter chain parameters like ACLR, Modulation Analysis (EVM, CCDF, Frequency Error), occupied bandwidth, Transmitter unwanted Emissions, Intermodulation.
• Responsible for testing and verification of Receiver parameters like Gain, Noise Figure, Receiver dynamic Range, Blocking (In-band, Narrow-band, Out of band.
• Conduct protocol conformance testing (PCT) and Radio conformance testing (RCT).
• Calibrate and optimize wireless interface for performance and quality.
• Analyze system-level performance and troubleshoot RF-related issues.
• Strong knowledge for RF fundamental and RF related issues and troubleshooting.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure design compatibility and system integration.
• Generate technical documentation, including design reports, test plans, and datasheets.
• Support product certification processes and ensure compliance with industry standards (FCC, CE, etc.). Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in RF/Microwave circuit design and development.
• Strong understanding of RF design principles, Smith charts, impedance matching, etc.
• Proficiency with RF simulation tools (ADS, HFSS, CST, etc.) and CAD tools (Altium, Cadence, etc.).
• Experience with test and measurement equipment (VNA, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, etc.). Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in antenna design and optimization.
• Knowledge of EMI/EMC design considerations.
• Exposure to high-frequency PCB design and manufacturing constraints. 3
