The Senior Manager of Software Engineering is responsible for establishing and leading a multi-function engineering and DevOps team. They partner with executive and senior leadership to ensure the success of our regional and/or domain-specific engineering functions.

What You’ll Do

  • Regional and/or domain leadership
  • Drive product excellence ensuring that our technology delights our users, improves quality, and reduces the cost of support and maintenance of our product development
  • Ensure our products meet or exceed the contracted SLA uptime
  • Create direct and deep relationship with product managers, sales, and account managers
  • Inform the product strategy by bringing technical perspective to the conversation

Experience You’ll Bring

  • Experience as a software engineer and technical leader with large-scale projects delivered have prepared you for this role
  • Experience leading technical team that support and partner with international technology and product peers
  • Experience operating both cloud services, with technical depth to be active in decisions about the large architectural investments
  • Proven ability to focus engineering work on the top corporate objectives and priorities, and accountability for keeping strategic work on track
  • Experience with API management, product instrumentation, analytics, continuous development and integration, and security and audit concerns
  • Should have experience in hiring and mentoring talent
  • must have been involved in the appraisal process and people/team management for at least 5 years.

Requirements

  • Requires a minimum of15+ years overall experience
  • An engineering graduate with computer science or information technology background.
  • Should have the work experience in building and maintaining backend services and APIs using Node.js and C# (.NET Core)
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues across the full stack.
  • Adds value if worked in Analytical tools like MS-SQL / MYSQL / PostGres
  • Adds value if worked in the OLAP tools like Snowflake, Spark or any similar tools
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product managers, and other developers to define, design, and deliver new features.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and team meetings.
  • Contribute to system architecture and technical design discussions.
  • Collaborate with the development team / architect to Design and implement database schemas, tables, views, and indexes as per the standards.
  • Collaborate with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements
  • Help theTroubleshoot performance issues and ensure database integrity and security
  • Ensure best practices in database design and development
  • Perform regular data quality checks and support data migration projects
  • Guide the team to Develop responsive, high-performance web interfaces using React, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
  • Should have the knowledge and work experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes) for development, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines and automate workflows.
  • Proficiency with modern IDEs such as VS Code.
  • Version control experience using GitLab, including branching strategies and merge requests.
  • Task and issue tracking using JIRA or similar tools.
  • Understanding of AWS services (especially EC2, S3, RDS, SQS) and cloud architecture principles.
  • Experience working with containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Exposure to monitoring/logging tools like Grafana, New Relic, Opsgenie, or similar (Datadog, Prometheus, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of application performance monitoring (APM) and alerting best practices.
  • Experience working collaboratively with Agile or Kanban development teams.
  • Good communication skills, ability to partner with product and design, and collaborate on multi-functional teams - a strong collaborator, a trusted teammate, and are skilled at resolving and working through different ideas.
  • Hybrid Work Model: This role follows a hybrid schedule, with on-site work at our Bangalore office two days per week, as agreed up on with your leader. This approach helps us collaborate more effectively, make decisions more quickly, and build a stronger culture, while still providing flexibility.
