About Technology Development

The TD team for ISEA is focused on Customer Product development & Engineering, Innovation for the region, rollout of new technologies for the region, testing, Failure Investigation, scaleup from POC to series production, Portfolio Management etc.

What our customer gain from this is efficient digital data exchange, traceability and flexibility in design changes, reduced carbon footprint and higher performance products.
• Testing : Group Testing Services is a trusted partner in design, process and supplier validation. The testing team ensures greater focus on customer requirements, quality and operational efficiency. This entails greater support for SKF’s processes in a faster manner by applying global test standards, adapted to local customer specific requirements.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title : Senior Front-End Developer

Reports To : Global Manager - Digital Product Design

Role Type : Individual contributor

Location : Bangalore

Role Purpose:

Join a product team of developers, designers, and a design systems manager and create a companywide Web Component based library and design system that will be adopted by a global suite of digital products.

We are looking for someone with advanced knowledge of front-end development and how it can be applied at scale across multiple digital products using native Web Components (LIT). You know your way around advanced JavaScript, TypeScript and are proficient with React. You’re someone that has been working with advanced application logic and knows best practices. Youre curious by nature and eager to adopt new technologies that enable scalable and the most maintainable solutions. You are as much vested in the impact our product and team intents to achieve as you are focused on the deliverables.

You’ll support us with the adoption of the component library. This will involve providing advice to other developers, sharing best-practices and at times jumping into other people’s code to provide feedback. We want to make the components work now and into the future, so you’ll be adding and updating the library to meet our user’s needs.

Candidate Profile:

• Eight+ years (or equivalent) experience with front-end development
• Education - B.E/B. Tech/ M.E /M Tech
• Solid experience in JavaScript (browser+node), TypeScript and ideally some previous knowledge about LIT Web Components as well as React.
• Good understanding of what it means to work with a distributed product (npm/vite/rollup/node) and Github actions/CI.
• Be comfortable talking to and helping developers from different teams as well as giving demos/presentations (in Swedish and English) 
• Be communicative and have a clear interest in building a product community of front end developers.
• Experience in making architectural decisions within front end / "Fullstack"
• Experience working within an international companies / European companies
