Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

• Would you like to be part of a team that develops innovative applications for diagnostic MRI?
• We are looking for enthusiastic Masters or PhD students who would like to do their internship in our department focused on MRI Advanced Concepts and Applications Innovations (ACAI).
• In this position, you will learn more about DL-based application development for medical imaging devices and contribute towards developing innovative technology that focus on image quality, speed and/or efficient workflow.
• You will get insights into different aspects of the application development process, including requirements engineering, design, implementation, testing and documentation.
• Our products include complex algorithms for image reconstruction, image processing and analysis which run on specialized compute as well as Linux systems.
• As part of your daily work, you will also support test environments for verification and validation activities - execute manual tests, or create automated tests using scripting languages such as Python, analyze test results and collaborate with experts from various fields (including research, physics, biomedical sciences).
• The goal of the internship is to gain experience in application development and testing.
• You should expect to take over responsibility early on in the project(s).
• This includes requirement analysis, design, coding, testing and reporting progress/results to the supervisor.
• During the internship we will provide you with several opportunities to present your work. Of course, you can also take advantage of these opportunities outside of the internship and give talks at universities or other events.
  
  

Desired Qualifications

• Pursuing an advanced degree in computer science or electrical engineering with a strong focus in signal processing and mathematics with a working knowledge of C++, Python and/or Matlab programming languages.
• Demonstrable knowledge of use of Pytorch &/or TensorFlow
• A keen interest in medical imaging technologies
• Good communication skills
• Good English language skills (written and spoken)
