Purpose Of The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled SAP BTP Integration Suite (IS) Architect to design and deliver integration solutions that enable seamless connectivity across our SAP and non-SAP landscape. The Architect will define integration strategies, establish standards, and provide technical leadership to ensure scalable, secure, and reliable integration services aligned with business and IT objectives.
Responsibilities
The top accountabilities are supervision and delivery of –
- Architecture & Design
- Define and lead the enterprise integration architecture on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Integration Suite (CPI, API Management, Event Mesh, Integration Advisor, etc.).
- Translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and reliable integration solutions.
- Develop integration patterns, frameworks, and reusable components for SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Solution Delivery
- Lead the design and implementation of integration flows, APIs, events, and microservices using SAP BTP IS.
- Ensure solutions adhere to standard methodologies in security, compliance, and performance.
- Guide development teams in building, deploying, and supporting integrations.
- Governance & Standards
- Define integration standards, guidelines, and reference architectures.
- Establish and implement governance for API lifecycle management, event-driven architecture, and data security.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, security, and operations teams to ensure consistency across the IT landscape.
- Innovation & Strategy
- Stay updated on SAP roadmap and emerging technologies in the integration domain.
- Provide thought leadership on hybrid integration platforms and future-proof integration strategy.
Evaluate third-party integration tools and recommend fit-for-purpose solutions
Experience/Skills Required
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.Experience:- 10-14 years of experience in enterprise integration architecture and design.
- Strong expertise in SAP BTP Integration Suite (SAP CPI, API Management, Event Mesh, Integration Advisor, Open Connectors).
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale SAP-to-SAP and SAP-to-non-SAP integrations (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, Ariba, Concur, Salesforce, etc.).
Technical Skills:- Knowledge of integration patterns (synchronous, asynchronous, event-driven, APIs, microservices).
- Proficiency in cloud-native architectures (REST, OData, SOAP, JSON, XML, messaging, events).
- Good understanding of security (OAuth, SAML, JWT, TLS, Identity Management).
Soft Skills:- Good communication and partner management skills.
- Ability to lead technical teams and influence senior collaborators.
- Analytical approach with problem-solving skills.
- Preferred Qualifications
- SAP certification in BTP Integration Suite or SAP CPI/API Management.
- Experience with multi-cloud integration (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools (Jenkins, Git, Grafana, etc.).
- Experience in event-driven architecture with SAP Event Mesh, Kafka, or similar.
- The individual must be willing to work in Shift timings – Bangalore.
