Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Data Scientist Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in machine learning with exposure to Reinforcement Learning (RL) and a basic understanding of control systems theory. You will work closely with our data science and engineering teams to develop, test, and evaluate intelligent models for real-world applications.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement of machine learning models, especially reinforcement learning algorithms.
Analyze large datasets, extract meaningful patterns, and prepare data for modeling.
Conduct experiments to optimize RL agents and evaluate their performance in simulated or real environments.
Support the integration of ML/RL models into production pipelines or test benches.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand domain-specific requirements.
Document findings, methodologies, and present results to the team.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science.
Solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals, with hands-on experience in Python and ML libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn.
Familiarity with Reinforcement Learning concepts such as policy/value functions, Q-learning, actor-critic methods, or model-based RL.
Good-to-have: Knowledge of classical control theory, system dynamics, or model predictive control (MPC).
Experience with simulation tools (e.g., OpenAI Gym, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar) is a plus.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills (Good To Have)
Exposure to control systems design and analysis.
Experience working with time series data or sequential decision-making problems.
Familiarity with tools like Git, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
