Job Summary

The Solution Manager is responsible for leading the development of comprehensive, competitive, and client-focused solution proposals in response to client requirements. This role ensures that solutions presented accurately address customer requirements, reflect capabilities, and maximize outcomes. The Solution Manager collaborates closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, project managers, and other stakeholders throughout the engagement lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and define solution requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for solution development and delivery.
  • Collaborate with sales, technical, product, and delivery teams to design tailored solutions that meet customer needs and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with technical solution architects to build solution design and architecture ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
  • Develop solution narratives, response content, and value propositions that clearly articulate the benefits and differentiators.
  • Lead the end-to-end solution development process from scope review, solution design, proposal creation, through to submission.
  • Oversee the implementation of solutions, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
  • Support pre-sales activities by assisting in solution presentations, RFP responses, and technical demonstrations.
  • Support pricing and commercial teams by providing technical inputs and solution justifications.
  • Engage with clients during pre-bid, bid, transition, enablement phases or clarification sessions to clarify requirements or demonstrate solution value where required.
  • Manage risks and resolve issues related to solution delivery.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to suggest innovative solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven 10+ years of IT experience in solution management, bid management, product management, or related roles.
  • Ability to interpret technical and commercial documents and translate them into compelling solutions.
  • Project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams and deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and project management methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder management.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools.
  • Build estimation, pricing models and manage engagement & project financials.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Technical knowledge relevant to industry (e.g., cloud computing, enterprise software, data analytics) is a plus.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language.
