Job Description & Summary:

We are seeking a Technical Operations Engineer with hands-on experience in Azure cloud infrastructure, database management (SQL and MongoDB), and scripting/automation using PowerShell or other languages (Python / Bash). This role is a key contributor to our technical operations team, supporting CI/CD pipelines, ADO pipeline executions, and IT service operations.

You’ll collaborate with teams across development, infrastructure, and support to ensure high system availability, smooth deployments, and effective monitoring.

Responsibilities:

Azure Infrastructure Support:

  • Assist with deployment, configuration, monitoring, and optimization of Azure infrastructure components to ensure scalability, performance, and security.
  • Database Operations: Support SQL Server and MongoDB environments, including basic administration, backup/restore tasks, and performance troubleshooting.
  • Automation & Scripting: Create and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell (required), with additional support for Python or Bash to streamline operational workflows and reduce manual tasks.
  •  CI/CD & Azure DevOps Pipelines: Support the execution and troubleshooting of CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps (ADO), ensuring reliable and efficient code deployments
  • Monitoring & Alerting: Help manage and enhance monitoring solutions including Datadog, Azure App Insights, and Log Analytics to proactively detect and resolve system issues.
  •   IT Service Operations: Participate in day-to-day operations using ServiceNow for incident, change, and request management in accordance with defined SLAs.
  •  System Integration & Troubleshooting: Support integrations between systems and troubleshoot application and infrastructure-level issues, collaborating with other technical teams as needed.
  •  Operational Reporting & Dashboards: Assist in creating and maintaining infrastructure and service health dashboards to support proactive monitoring and operational transparency.
  •   Alert Response & Incident Participation: Monitor system alerts and participate in incident resolution activities, following standard response and escalation procedures.
  •  Collaboration & Team Support: Work closely with engineers, developers, and operations teams to ensure alignment across infrastructure, applications, and support.
  •  Documentation & SOPs: Maintain accurate technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles to support consistent, repeatable operations.


Mandatory skill sets:


  • 3–5 years of experience in a technical operations, site reliability, DevOps, or systems engineering role. • Proficiency with Microsoft Azure services and infrastructure (VMs,PaaS, storage, networking, App Services). • Solid working knowledge of SQL and MongoDB, including running queries and basic optimization or troubleshooting.
  • Strong scripting skills in PowerShell; familiarity with Python or Bash is a plus. • Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps (ADO) and understanding of deployment automation. • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, Azure App Insights or Log Analytics. • Hands-on experience using ServiceNow or similar ITSM systems for managing incidents, changes, and requests. • Understanding of cloud and infrastructure troubleshooting, alert triage, and system recovery techniques. • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and managing multiple priorities. • Availability for occasional off-hours support for critical issues or cross-time-zone coordination. Preferred.


Preferred skill sets:

Qualifications: • Experience optimizing Azure resource usage and identifying cost-saving opportunities. • Familiarity with blue-green or canary deployment practices and safe rollout strategies. • Exposure to additional monitoring platforms or log aggregation tools (e.g., Splunk). • Understanding of ITIL-based operational processes and service delivery best practices. • Experience working in Agile, DevOps, or hybrid delivery models

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent hands-on experience also considered.
