Job Description

The primary responsibility of the role includes (but is not limited to):

What EE will be doing/Involved: 

 

  • Gathering product objectives and requirements, illustrating them at a conceptual level (block diagrams) 
  • Design and develop electrical circuits and PCB layouts for rPDU products. 
  • Creating various elements of the product (neatly drawn schematics, perhaps PCBs, some programmable devices used on the boards, contribute to enclosures, Wiring harnesses) 
  • Bring up & debugging of Electronics PCB prototypes Consists of Mixed Signal Electronics 
  • Addressing various safety and noise/Immunity (EMI/EMC) issues that may arise 
  • Implementation of Energy/ power metering and environmental-sensing elements (temperature, humidity), protection circuits ( Voltage/Current ), sub-100W SMPS. 
  • Design/Develop/Debug Various Communication hardware related to mainly I2C,CAN,SPI,RS232 etc. 
  • Preparing Engineering Change Requests, Manufacturing Change Requests or Deviations within our PDM system. 
  • Working in a diverse team environment, as well as independently 

 

 

  • Virtually all aspects of any typical Electronic product are touched by the EE, from concept through engineering and release. 

 

  • Addressing field problems; work with manufacturing; provide competent guidance to others as well as receive it; troubleshooting of problems from both inside & outside of group 

 

  • Interaction with: Mechanical, compliance, firmware engineers, product management, manufacturing, field service, vendors 

 

Tools Proficiency : Block diagramming (Visio), schematic / PCB (Cadence), Instrumentation related to Mixed Signal & Power Measurments . 

 

Nice to have (in order of importance): WW compliance (EMC, safety), WW electrical systems, data center concepts, NFPA 70E, Arc Fault, HVAC systems, Basic coding at some level ( C/ Python ) 

 

Requirements: 

  • Electrical Or Electronics Engineering with and 5+ years experience in Mixed Signal Electronics Design with Embedded Controllers. 
  • Communication & Presentation skills 
  • Self Organizing & Driving abilities in a typical Agile development Environment. 
  • Sub-circuit level hands on Design /Development/Testing expertise for Electronics products
