We are seeking a skilled Transmission IP and Microwave Engineer to manage and support the planning, configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization of the IP and microwave transmission network. The role involves working closely with RAN, Core, and transport teams to ensure seamless end-to-end service delivery across the mobile network.
What you will do:
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot IP/MPLS transmission links and microwave radio links (PDH/SDH/Ethernet).
Support link commissioning, integration, and acceptance testing of transmission nodes (e.g., Huawei, NEC, Ericsson).
Coordinate with field teams and vendors during fault restoration.
Perform capacity planning and proactively monitor transmission KPIs to ensure optimal network performance.
Implement IP routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) and QoS policies as required.
Ensure alignment with network design and support LLD (Low-Level Design) creation for new projects.
Analyze faults and alarms using NMS tools (e.g., U2000, NetAct) and escalate where needed.
Maintain and update inventory, topology maps, and transmission records.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for rollout and upgrade projects (e.g., 5G backhaul, site migration).
Participate in on-call support and planned maintenance activities.
The skills you bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communication, Telecommunications, or equivalent.
3–6 years of hands-on experience in Transmission IP and Microwave domain.
Good understanding of IP fundamentals, routing/switching (L2/L3), and traffic engineering.
Experience in working with microwave vendors like Ericsson Minilink, NEC.
Familiarity with transmission protocols: Ethernet, E1, SDH, PDH, and timing sync (SyncE).
Proficiency in network monitoring and ticketing tools (e.g., Remedy, NetAct, U2000).
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
