Delivery Lead - Software Engineer - PostgreSQL Support

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Software Engineer to join our development team. The successful candidate

will be responsible for designing and implementing technical solutions that meet business needs. You’ll work

across the full stack—from server-side logic to database interactions and user interface components. This position

involves development specific to customer requirements and evolving needs in the leasing and loan markets. We

are looking for candidates who demonstrate strong problem-solving ability, excellent communication skills, and a

passion for writing clean, maintainable code.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain enterprise-grade features from front-end to back-end.
• Design and implement server-side logic using Java, J2EE, and Groovy.
• Build dynamic user interfaces using GSP (Groovy Server Pages) and integrate with backend logic.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and QA teams to translate requirements into functional software.
• Write efficient database queries and manage data access using JDBC and Hibernate.
• Use JUnit for automated testing and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Work in Agile environments with continuous integration/deployment pipelines.
• Participate in code reviews, client demos, and internal knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Leverage tools like Gradle for build automation and support performance optimization initiatives.
  
  

Required Skills:

Must-Have

• Java, J2EE
• Groovy, GSP and Grails Framework
• Writing Junit Test Cases
• Writing/Modifying SOAP UI and Smoke Test Cases and making it compatible with various Databases

• PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server (query writing, functions etc.)
• Required knowledge in Java/J2EE used by assigned products. and a Preferred knowledge in specific
  
  

technologies (e.g. UI Development experience. Web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery).

• Good knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle and/or SQL Server) with proficiency in SQL
  
  

and PL/SQL language.

• Experienced professional contributor with responsibility for an advanced area of work in the
  
  

professional field. Possess and applies comprehensive knowledge of the field of specialization to the

completion of complex assignments.

• Has good understanding of how own area/team contributed to work unit’s success; recognizes wider
  
  

business implications of decisions/actions.

• Primary contribution is in applying knowledge (product, industry, professional, technical) doing
  
  

individual contributor work.

• Develop knowledge of the lease/loan finance industry.
• Oversee the completion of projects or assignments, including planning, assigning, monitoring, and
  
  

reviewing progress and accuracy of work, evaluating results, etc. Mentor others through example and

sharing knowledge/skill.

• Microservices architecture and related technologies: Rest APIs, Spring Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, API

Preferred Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree (BE/B. Tech) in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 6–9 years of professional experience in full-stack software development.
• Hands-on experience with Java ecosystem and relational databases
