The CS Supports CETC Special Project Lead a variety of projects
Drives the regional implementation of CETC special projects
Supports external Customs audits
Deliver training for colleagues who are not customs specialists
Host office hours sessions to address questions in key customs topics
Identify opportunities for CETC special projects across ADM
Country of Origin (CoO)
Management of CoO data in SAP GTS (where deployed)
Determination and maintenance of CoO dataset
Customs Brokers
Maintain master list of customs brokers used by the business
Obtain and analyze declaration data from brokers on a regular basis
Identify risks and opportunities in the broker data set
Drive performance management sessions with key brokers
Maintain an up-to-date set of Powers of Attorney
The CS does not have any reports.
The CS works together with the Customs & Excise Trade Compliance (CETC) global teams. The role involves collaboration with several internal stakeholders across ADM.
Your Profile
The CS has a relevant university degree or higher, supplemented by relevant professional training.
Minimum-5+years active experience as a customs specialist, working in a large or medium-sized company. Previous roles should include the filing of customs and excise declarations, internal auditing, data processing, and reporting.
Has a strong knowledge of customs legislation with a focus on (NA, LATAM, EMEA, APAC)
The CS will be working in the corporate Customs & Excise Trade Compliance function of the ADM organization.
The CS reports to the CETC Special Project Lead (US).
Has proven experience in trade compliance and internal and external auditing
Is familiar with origin determination
Has good experience with SAP GTS and/or other customs automation solutions
Good working knowledge of HS classification, Free Trade Agreement qualification, operation of customs reliefs and customs valuation.
