Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Consultant – Technical Lead to drive large-scale network transformation and infrastructure programs. The role will combine deep technical expertise with program governance, stakeholder management, and delivery leadership, ensuring successful execution of multi-year initiatives in line with business and technology strategies.
The Consultant – Technical Lead will act as the bridge between technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior leadership, ensuring complex projects are designed, coordinated, and delivered with high quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Governance
- Oversee end-to-end execution of large, multi-country network transformation initiatives (WAN, LAN, SD-WAN, Cloud Connectivity, Security).
- Define program structure, milestones, and delivery roadmap aligned with organizational objectives.
- Track, monitor, and report program progress, risks, and dependencies to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with group standards, security, and regulatory requirements.
Technical Leadership
- Provide technical direction and solution oversight for network infrastructure programs.
- Work with architects and SMEs to validate design, implementation, and migration approaches.
- Evaluate vendor/partner proposals and ensure alignment with program requirements.
- Proactively identify technical risks and define mitigation strategies.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Management
- Act as the central coordination point across network engineering, operations, business lines, and global teams.
- Manage communication with senior stakeholders, providing clear updates and ensuring business priorities are met.
- Facilitate decision-making across distributed technical and business groups.
Delivery & Quality Assurance
- Drive project execution through efficient planning, dependency management, and resource coordination.
- Ensure on-time, cost-effective, and secure delivery of projects.
- Establish quality gates, review processes, and ensure delivery excellence.
Required
Profile required
Required Skills & Experience
- 15+ years of experience in network infrastructure, transformation programs, or large-scale IT initiatives.
- Strong understanding of WAN, LAN, VPN, SD-WAN, network security, and cloud networking.
- Proven experience managing large, complex technology programs (budget, timelines, stakeholders).
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and executive reporting skills.
- Experience in vendor management, contract governance, and service delivery oversight.
- PMP/Prince2/Agile certification (preferred, not mandatory).
