Overview

Mimecast is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Accountant for its Indian subsidiary. This is an excellent opportunity for a Chartered Accountant (CA) with 1-2 years of post-qualification experience, who thrives in a dynamic and rapidly expanding organization, and is enthusiastic about adapting to change and supporting the evolving needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, interpret and deliver timely and accurate financial data including periodic US GAAP management results.
• Support the preparation of key monthly and quarterly reporting deliverables, such as cash flow forecasts, variance analysis, and account reconciliations, ensuring the integrity of financial records.
• Collaborate with external service providers to ensure timely compliance with all statutory filings, including GST, Income Tax, and Companies Act requirements.
• Assist with the annual statutory audit and the preparation of financial statements under Indian GAAP.
• Stay abreast of changes in Indian laws and regulations, assessing their potential implications for the business.
• Contribute to the implementation of robust systems and processes to ensure ongoing compliance and operational efficiency.
• Provide ongoing support to the Singapore subsidiary as required by the Financial Controller.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across functions and regions, contributing to a positive team culture.
• Support in the preparation of technical accounting memos, complex accounting calculations and items requiring judgment.
  
  

Essential Skills And Experience

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 1–2 years of post-qualification experience.
• Articleship with a Big 4 firm preferred; prior experience in the IT industry is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of Indian GAAP with working familiarity of US GAAP
• Solid understanding of Indian statutory laws, including the Companies Act, GST, and Income Tax
• Experience with NetSuite ERP is an added advantage.
• Meticulous, detail-oriented, and approaches problem-solving thoughtfully.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement through analytical thinking and process optimization.
• Excellent communication skills with fluency in English.
