Project Engineer

Team / Division

Core Responsibility

  • Responsible for design & development of products / parts related to industrial tools and hydraulic attachments.
  • Independently review & check all the input received before the design activity starts.
  • Prepare engineering documents, technical specifications, bills of materials (BOM) and managing product lifecycle in PLM system
  • Responsible for the timely & quality delivery of engineering output in accordance with established schedules.
  • Adherence to project deadline.
  • Co-ordination with Cross Functional Team (Local & Global) as per the project requirement.
  • Generate Value Engineering and Value Analysis (VA VE) and Continuous Improvement (CI) ideas to reduce product costs and drive/support implementation as needed.
  • Contribute towards knowledge management within the area of assignment. Also sharing knowledge & developing others through training.
  • Reporting to the Manager/Project Leader in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Follow Epiroc policies, values and adhere to the business code of practice.
  • Exhibits Epiroc core values, integrity and open global culture.

Experience Requirement

  • Work experience of design & development on products / parts related to industrial tools and hydraulic attachments.
  • Adequate knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Work knowledge on SolidWorks & PLM/PDM.
  • Creo & Windchill experience is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of GD&T, Welding and tolerance stack-up analysis.
  • Knowledge of cost targets around component design.

Knowledge / Educational Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical / industrial production / automotive from reputed institution.
  • Min 5 years of relevant experience.

Personality Requirement

  • Enthusiastic, Self-motivated and Goal oriented.
  • Good interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
  • Attention to details and strong inclination to learn.
  • Team player and flexible.
