How will you make an impact in this role?

Responsible for contacting clients with overdue accounts to secure the settlement of the account. Also they do preventive work to avoid future overdues with accounts that have a high exposure.

The newly formed Technology Control Management (TCM), Process Risk Reduction & Enterprise Platforms (EP) Risk Advisory team, are dedicated to driving effective Operational Risk strategies for the Enterprise Platforms (EP) leadership team. This role will be in the new EP Issues and Events Management Operations team for Global Loyalty & Benefits (GLB) and is responsible for leading the end-to-end Issues Management Lifecycle activities, according to the new Enterprise Issues Management Policy.  The Issues Management Lifecycle defines how the company will identify & capture, plan for, mitigate & monitor, close and validate its identified issues. 


The Technology Risk & Control Manager, Issues Management Operations Global Loyalty & Benefits will be accountable for leading the end-to-end activities for Issues, Events and Remediation, including partnering with issue identifiers and owners to determine if a potential issue raised meets the requirements to be considered an issue, issue status updates and ratings, performance of ongoing monitoring through the issue remediation timeline, and preparation of tollgate materials in advance of issue closure. This will involve completing root-cause analysis and ensuring that the control enhancements put in place meet the sustainability criteria, elevating the processes, and reducing risk. Essentially, being responsible for the inventory and partnering with stakeholders to lead with an Enterprise perspective, as we elevate our risk management practices.

The Technology Risk & Control Manager, Issues Management Operations Global Loyalty & Benefits will:



  • Own Issues Management inventory for Global Loyalty & Benefits (GLB) and ensure all milestones are met.

  • Create milestone plans, track progress, and have impeccable stakeholder management to ensure all Issues meet the lifecycle standards.

  • Conduct robust root-cause analysis to identify what has caused issues and effectively partner with stakeholders to problem solve and identify resolution owner.

  • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders, effectively communicating, managing expectations and ensuring alignment on goals, timelines and outcomes.

  • Elevate the quality of documenting issues by providing advice and support on necessary control enhancements including mitigating and monitoring to ensure sustainability of ongoing controls to ensure they fulfil heightened requirements.

  • Possibly complete end-to-end program / project management to ensure issue management lifecycle remains on track and meets timelines and may have some direct report responsibilities.

  • Will be accountable to ensure that the GLB end-to-end Program Manager, has timely updates to enable them to meet all executive reporting requirements.

Required Qualifications:  


  • Effective and efficient Project Management.
  • Critical thinking., Problem solving and data-analysis skills to identify the root-cause and to facilitate effective resolution.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to document and effectively communicate to people of all levels within the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead without direct authority, particularly leading through change.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, especially with senior leadership and follow.
  • Understanding of the operational risk environment and prior experience in implementing controls and / or risk mitigation strategies is a plus.

 Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience in Control Management or Operational Risk environment.
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in Technology project delivery models and agile frameworks to support communications to our partners.
