The position is responsible for providing I.T. leadership, solutions and support to AXA XL, a division of AXA, Corporate I.T. Finance applications from AXA XL India office at Gurgaon. Corporate IT applications include enterprise critical financial applications used by AXA XL’s finance business users across the globe. Major focus for this role is to provide technical leadership in AXA XL Move to Cloud initiative for Corporate applications and deliver data integration to finance business function. Work collaboratively with vendor resources. An ideal candidate for this role is expected to have a robust hands-on technical leadership in ETL, Datawarehouse and cloud computing.

What You’ll Be DOING

What will your essential responsibilities include?

  • Corporate IT leader with an effective hands-on data integration, Datawarehouse, cloud migration expertise. Outstanding multi-system data integration experience handing multi-terabyte datasets.
  • Provide hands on technical leadership in critical finance data integration using Informatica.
  • Provide hands on technical leadership in moving on premise application to Public/Private cloud.
  • Provide technical leadership to AXA XL Corporate I.T. finance team including vendor teams supporting production applications and program initiatives undertaken by finance business function.
  • Overall ownership for the design, development, implementation and monitoring the solutions for finance business processes. Responsible to ensure AXA XL audit guidelines are followed in supporting business processes.
  • Provide project management for application enhancement and business process changes.
  • Provide proactive and End to end technical leadership in Financial quarter close process by effectively monitoring systems, troubleshooting, and coordinating with teams to resolve issue promptly.
  • Liaise between Finance Operation support and I.T. teams to provide tactical and permanent solutions.
  • Responsible for designing and managing application security across finance applications leveraging industry best practice.
  • Work with infrastructure teams to provide technical support for Corporate I.T. finance applications in functions line Tax, Treasury, and Investment.
  • Lead incident management for issues related to Corporate I.T. applications.
  • Identify, propose process improvements to enhance Corporate finance applications support to promote Make-It-Better.

Required Skills And Abilities

  • Relevant years of experience in Oracle technology Application design, development, implementation and support is required.
  • Relevant years of hands-on development and support experience with Oracle eBusiness R12 FAH/General Ledger is required.
  • Relevant years of hands-on design /development of data integration using ETL tools like Informatica, Databricks.
  • Robust Hands-On MS Azure cloud computing is required.
  • Outstanding data warehouse, OLAP, SQL, performance tuning and solution architect expertise is required.
  • Robust Oracle/SQL Server multi-terabyte Data management expertise is required.
  • Prior experience of leading projects with waterfall and agile methodology is required.
  • Solid understanding of Sarbanes Oxley controls and enforce controls is required.
  • Ability to do effective multi-tasking is required.
  • Experience in supporting End Users is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Ability to work resiliently with less supervision is required.
  • Insurance/Finance industry experience.

Desired Skills And Abilities

  • Experience in SaaS/PaaS/IaaS delivery is preferred.
  • Cloud solution Architect certification is preferred.
  • Scrum Master certification is preferred.
  • Experience on development or support to Tax, Treasury applications is preferred.
  • Functional Knowledge of ERP finance is preferred.
  • Able to organize self and others including effective scheduling, prioritization, and time management skills, completing tasks to tight deadlines.
  • Proven track record to provide a consistently first-class customer service internally and/or externally.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships (Internally/Externally), establishing credibility amongst a wide and demanding client group.
  • Comfortable taking ownership and accountability for own work and for the team, identifying the need for action (using initiative) whilst working effectively within a team.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills are required.
