Job Description

A CCTV Camera Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the security and monitoring systems of an organization are functioning optimally. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of CCTV cameras and related equipment, ensuring everything operates seamlessly to capture clear and accurate footage. As a CCTV Camera Technician, you will work in various environments, from residential to commercial spaces, to improve security infrastructures. Your expertise in configuring and troubleshooting various CCTV systems will help to safeguard properties and assets, minimizing security risks. To succeed in this role, a strong technical background combined with problem-solving skills and attention to detail is essential. Responsibilities

  • Install CCTV cameras, ensuring optimal positioning for maximum coverage and effectiveness.
  • Perform regular maintenance checks on CCTV systems to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Diagnose and repair faults or malfunctions in CCTV equipment promptly.
  • Configure network settings for CCTV systems to ensure seamless connectivity and remote access.
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance and installation activities for future reference.
  • Collaborate with security teams to integrate CCTV systems with other security measures.
  • Provide training to clients on basic troubleshooting and operation of CCTV systems.
  • Evaluate client needs and recommend appropriate CCTV products and solutions.
  • Stay updated on the latest CCTV technology trends and advancements in the field.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all installations and repairs.
  • Conduct site surveys to determine the best locations for camera installations.
  • Assist in securing necessary permits for CCTV system installations when required.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in installing and maintaining various models of CCTV cameras.
  • Strong understanding of networking, connectivity, and security systems technologies.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to solve technical issues efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects or tasks simultaneously.
  • Solid communication skills for interacting with clients and team members effectively.
  • Certification or diploma in electronics, security systems, or related field is preferred.
  • Willingness to stay updated with the latest industry practices and technological advancements.
