The role of an Assistant Supply Chain Manager is crucial in ensuring the efficient operation of a company's supply chain. This position involves working closely with the Supply Chain Manager to plan and oversee the entire supply chain strategy while aiming to improve productivity and efficiency. As an Assistant Supply Chain Manager, you will play an integral role in managing logistics, sourcing materials, negotiating with vendors, and overseeing inventory levels. Ensuring customer satisfaction through on-time delivery and cost-effective solutions is also a key priority. Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of supply chain strategies to increase efficiency.
  • Support the management of logistics operations including warehousing and transportation.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and negotiate contracts to ensure best pricing and quality.
  • Track and manage inventory levels to meet market demand projections effectively.
  • Analyze supply chain data and performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate between different departments to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries.
  • Monitor compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Assist in preparing and managing the supply chain budget and forecasts.
  • Implement new technologies and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement among the team.
  • Analyze feedback from customers and develop strategies to improve the supply chain.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management regarding supply chain activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain or logistics roles.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with supply chain management software.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective negotiation, networking, and communication skills are essential.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage cross-functional projects.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes, practices, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
