Job Description

The Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in the smooth and efficient operation of supply chain processes. This position involves managing daily logistics operations, optimizing shipping and warehousing operations, and ensuring that all aspects of the supply chain run smoothly. The Logistics Coordinator will be expected to coordinate with freight companies, warehouses, suppliers, and clients to ensure timely delivery of goods and services. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Additionally, they should be adept at multitasking and capable of working in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and consumers to optimize logistics processes.
  • Organize and oversee shipment and delivery schedules to maintain timely operations.
  • Review and improve logistics processes for cost efficiency and enhanced performance.
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations related to logistics.
  • Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
  • Manage logistics software to track goods, shipments, and inventory levels effectively.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with external logistics partners and clients.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve logistics-related issues swiftly and effectively.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate logistics documents, reports, and records as required.
  • Coordinate with the procurement team to align logistics with company purchasing plans.
  • Ensure all logistics activities meet the budgetary and financial objectives of the company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in logistics coordination or a similar role within the industry.
  • Strong understanding of logistics operations and supply chain management principles.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Proficiency in logistics and supply chain management software applications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
