Job Description

The role of a Sales Executive is pivotal in the establishment and nurturing of customer relationships, driving sales, and increasing the profitability of a business. This position requires an individual who is not only dynamic and persuasive but who also possesses the patience and determination needed to establish long-term relationships with clients. Sales Executives act as the key point of contact between an organization and its clients, answering inquiries, offering information, and presenting new products. Success in this role comes from balancing the development of new business with the fostering of existing client relationships. A Sales Executive must be familiar with their industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to effectively strategize their sales efforts. They are often required to meet with clients, network in business meetings, and exhibit products and services at trade exhibitions and events.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with potential and existing clients to ensure satisfaction.
  • Identify business opportunities by analyzing prospects and evaluating their position in the industry.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of sales strategies to achieve sales goals.
  • Demonstrate and present products to potential clients to generate new business.
  • Attend trade shows, events, and demonstrations to build network opportunities.
  • Negotiate contracts with clients to ensure profitability and business sustainability.
  • Provide clients with detailed product information and effective solutions to their business needs.
  • Keep detailed records of sales activities and customer interactions within our CRM system.
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing and products.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to understand new product launches and promotions.
  • Ensure that monthly sales targets and objectives are consistently met and exceeded.
  • Follow up on leads generated through marketing initiatives and turn them into sales opportunities.

Requirements

  • A degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in sales or a customer-facing role is required.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of increasing sales and business growth in past roles.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software to manage customer data and interactions.
  • Ability to analyze market trends to devise effective sales strategies.
  • Excellent time management skills with the capacity to handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work in a team setting and foster a collaborative environment.
  • Strong understanding of industry-specific products and market demands.
