Job Description

As a Front Desk Agent, you are the welcoming face of our organization, tasked with ensuring each guest's experience begins from the moment they walk through our doors. Your role is crucial in setting the tone for an exceptional stay, as you provide outstanding customer service and handle front desk operations efficiently. In this position, you will be responsible for managing reservations, handling guest inquiries, and coordinating check-ins and check-outs with ease. A proactive, service-oriented approach is essential, as is the ability to multitask in a bustling environment. You will build relationships with guests by providing personalized service, addressing their needs, and ensuring they leave with a positive impression of our establishment.


Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests warmly upon their arrival at the facility.
  • Manage the check-in and check-out process for all hotel guests efficiently.
  • Handle reservations, cancellations, and modifications of bookings accurately.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and phone calls with helpful and friendly service.
  • Provide information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.
  • Resolve guest complaints promptly and to the satisfaction of all parties involved.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams for seamless operations.
  • Maintain a neat, organized, and professionally presented front desk area.
  • Manage cash and credit transactions accurately without mistakes.
  • Ensure security protocols are adhered to for guest safety and privacy.
  • Monitor room availability and ensure accurate status reporting in the system.
  • Assist with guests' special requests, including transport arrangements and restaurant recommendations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality degree preferred.
  • Previous experience as a front desk agent or in customer service roles.
  • Proficient with hotel management software like Opera or similar platforms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interactions.
  • Strong multitasking abilities, able to handle multiple guests simultaneously.
  • Exceptional attention to detail ensuring all guest information is maintained accurately.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
