Job Description

The Collection Manager for Two Wheeler Finance is a pivotal role focused on managing and optimizing the collection process for our vehicle financing division. This role requires a blend of leadership, analytical, and strategic skills to drive recovery processes and minimize non-performing assets (NPAs). The Collection Manager will be responsible for managing a team of collection officers, setting strategic protocols, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the financial services industry, especially in the domain of vehicle finance, and will possess excellent negotiation and communication skills. They will be accountable for developing strategies to optimize collection processes and will collaborate across departments to achieve departmental and organizational goals efficiently.


Responsibilities

  • Supervise the daily operations of the collections team and monitor performance metrics.
  • Develop and implement strategies for improving collection efficiencies and reducing delinquencies.
  • Analyze customer accounts to identify trends and potential collection risks.
  • Coordinate with the legal department for handling cases of loan default and legal proceedings.
  • Train and mentor the collections team to improve customer negotiation tactics and techniques.
  • Evaluate collection reports and provide weekly updates to senior management on collection status.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for collection officers and track progress quarterly.
  • Implement new technologies and tools to streamline the collection process and increase efficiency.
  • Foster a customer-centric approach in all collection activities to maintain positive customer relations.
  • Ensure that all collection activities comply with financial industry regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with finance and sales teams to define credit terms that minimize risk exposure.
  • Manage and resolve escalated customer disputes regarding their loan agreements or payment terms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in collections and credit management within the finance sector.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in managing and developing collection teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulations pertaining to loan collection and debt recovery processes.
  • Exceptional analytical skills to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Proficiency with collection management software and tools to enhance team productivity.
