Job Description

The Business Analyst is a critical role bridging the gap between IT and the business using data analytics to assess processes, determine requirements, and deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to executives and stakeholders. This position demands a candidate who can interpret data trends, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and help steer the organization toward data-driven decisions that will impact business profitability and efficiency. Being adept at both the technical and business sides, the Business Analyst ensures that stakeholders' objectives are met through the translation of technical terms into business needs, allowing for competitive advantages and opportunities for improvement. As a liaison, the Business Analyst ensures that the business’s technological and strategic goals are met in accordance with industry best practices.


Responsibilities

  • Analyze business operations and identify areas needing improvement using data-driven insights.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless implementation of business requirements.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of existing business strategy and suggest optimization.
  • Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to ensure clarity of project requirements and objectives.
  • Create detailed documentation, including business requirements, specifications, and reports.
  • Develop analytical tools and reports that identify opportunities for product improvements.
  • Conduct market research and data analysis to identify potential growth opportunities.
  • Track performance against business targets to assist in strategic planning activities.
  • Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements to managers.
  • Support user acceptance testing activities by ensuring conformity to business requirements.
  • Liaise between various departments to streamline processes and improve efficiencies.
  • Assist in the preparation of competitor analysis and industry trend reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proven analytical skills and experience working with large datasets effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder management.
  • At least 3 years of experience in business analysis or a related field required.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, and business process modeling.
  • Experience with project management software and methodologies is desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to propose innovative solutions.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into comprehensive insights and recommendations.
  • Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
