Biology Teacher (225-808)

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Biology Teacher to join our educational team. As a Biology Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching students various aspects of biological sciences, ranging from basic biology to advanced concepts. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive biology curriculum for various educational levels.
• Prepare and deliver engaging and interactive biology lessons to students.
• Assess student progress through tests, assignments, and classroom participation.
• Incorporate different teaching methodologies to accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of scientific discoveries and incorporate into lesson plans.
• Foster a positive and productive classroom environment for all students.
• Encourage student participation in discussions, projects, and practical experiments.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and faculty regarding student performance.
• Prepare students for standardized tests and end-of-year examinations.
• Organize and supervise laboratory activities and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Mentor and provide academic support to students needing extra help with biology.
• Collaborate with other educators to improve teaching practices and school programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Education, or a related field is required.
• State teaching certification with specialization in biology is preferred.
• Prior teaching experience in biology at the secondary or postsecondary level is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of biological sciences and passion for teaching the subject.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students.
• Ability to design and implement effective lesson plans and educational materials.
• Familiarity with educational technology and the ability to incorporate it into teaching.
