Job Description

As a Site-Based Project Manager, you will take the lead in orchestrating the planning, execution, and completion of various construction projects. You are expected to be on-site, directly overseeing operations, ensuring that projects run smoothly, on time, and within budget. Your role is crucial in coordinating between different teams - from engineers, construction workers, to designers - and managing client expectations. You will be responsible for the seamless communication and management of resources to deliver optimal results. This role demands excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills to manage the complex dynamics of onsite project works efficiently.


Responsibilities

  • Lead project planning sessions to set project objectives and develop timelines.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans to share with clients and relevant team members.
  • Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis.
  • Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items.
  • Manage changes in project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Keep the project team focused on the task at hand, encourage productivity and efficiency.
  • Perform risk management to minimize potential risks associated with project delivery.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors and stakeholders.
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope and schedule.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven working experience in project management, especially site-based roles.
  • Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential.
  • Solid understanding of construction operations and processes is required.
  • Proficient in project management software such as MS Project and Primavera.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
