Job Description

As a Site-Based Project Manager, you will be at the heart of driving success for on-site projects, ensuring seamless coordination between teams, and enabling the timely and efficient completion of tasks. Your role will entail providing direction, guidance, and support to project team members while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. You will act as a linchpin in project execution, making critical decisions and liaising with various stakeholders including contractors, clients, and regulatory bodies to ensure the project meets all requirements. Your leadership and problem-solving skills will be instrumental in overcoming challenges and adapting to the dynamic nature of project requirements, ensuring that all site activities align with organizational goals and client expectations.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the on-site project team to achieve high performance.
  • Develop and oversee project plans, schedules, and budgets effectively.
  • Liaise with clients to ensure project requirements are comprehensively understood.
  • Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to secure resources and materials.
  • Ensure all site activities comply with safety regulations and standards.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation plans proactively.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.
  • Facilitate clear communication and resolve disputes among project stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and clients.
  • Implement changes and interventions to achieve project outputs successfully.
  • Manage project documentation and ensure records are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Actively engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field required.
  • Minimum of five years' experience as a project manager on construction sites.
  • Proven experience managing complex projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills are necessary.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are essential for the role.
  • Proficient in project management software and MS Office Suite is mandatory.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple project components.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering quality and maintaining safety.
