Job Description

The role of a Building Information Modeling (BIM) Coordinator is crucial within the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry. As a BIM Coordinator, you will oversee the digital representation of physical and functional characteristics of projects, ensuring that the construction design is thoroughly executed using BIM software. You will liaise with various stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to enhance collaboration and accuracy, ultimately leading to improved project outcomes. Moreover, managing data exchange on complex projects and ensuring adherence to relevant standards and protocols will be part of your daily responsibilities. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate BIM processes and ensure adherence to project standards and protocols.

  • Organize and conduct training sessions for BIM-related software and practices.
  • Develop and maintain BIM execution plans for various project phases.

  • Analyze and troubleshoot BIM model conflicts, providing solutions to stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of BIM activities across projects.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of project-specific BIM libraries and templates.
  • Liaise with IT departments to manage BIM software implementation and support.
  • Stay updated on BIM technologies and innovations to enhance project delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Proficient in BIM software, including Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and related tools.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and project management principles.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience in managing complex projects with digital modeling technologies.
  • Familiarity with relevant BIM standards, protocols, and best practices.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Certification in BIM or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
