Job Description

The Purchase Executive plays a pivotal role in sourcing goods and managing supplier relationships to ensure the successful procurement of materials and services. This position requires a strategic thinker who can adapt to dynamic market conditions, maintain high-quality standards, and negotiate effectively to secure the best terms for the company. The Purchase Executive will work closely with various departments to understand their purchasing needs and support them through effective supply chain management. This role demands diligence, attention to detail, and strong communication skills to manage vendor contracts and ensure timely delivery of materials. As a key figure in the procurement process, the Purchase Executive helps optimize costs and enhance the company's operational efficiency.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with company objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, and service.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and timelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
  • Ensure timely processing and approval of purchase orders to meet project deadlines.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and advantageous pricing conditions.
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to shipments and deliveries promptly.
  • Prepare reports on purchasing activities, including spend analysis and cost reports.
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure smooth procurement operations.
  • Stay informed of any changes in the supply market and update stakeholders accordingly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain, or related field.
  • Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role within a similar industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful supplier agreements.
  • Excellent analytical skills to assess market conditions and supplier proposals.
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong vendor relationships.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management practices and industry best practices.
