Job Description

As an Operations Manager at our dynamic toys store, you will be at the heart of our business operations, ensuring that all aspects of store management run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities that contribute to the operational success and profitability of the store. Your role will involve managing staff, optimizing inventory processes, and ensuring exceptional customer service. You will play a crucial part in executing sales strategies, maintaining high standards of store presentation, and fostering a positive shopping experience for customers. In collaboration with upper management, you will implement operational policies and procedures that align with our strategic objectives, while also adapting to the seasonal demands that are inherent to the toy industry.


Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead all operations functions to ensure optimal performance of the store.
  • Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage inventory levels and coordinate logistics to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
  • Hire, train, and evaluate store employees to ensure high productivity and customer service standards.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, oversee financial reporting, and optimize operational costs.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations to maintain a secure environment.
  • Monitor sales performance and work with the sales team to execute promotional activities.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure high-quality product availability on the shelves.
  • Address customer complaints and feedback promptly to enhance service delivery.
  • Analyze operational data and create detailed reports for senior management review.
  • Enhance store layout and product placement to improve customer navigation and sales.
  • Incorporate technological solutions to streamline store operations and enhance efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in operations management within a retail or toys store environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced retail setting.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with staff, management, and customers.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and point-of-sale systems.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and operational metrics.
