A Maintenance Electrician is a skilled professional responsible for ensuring the efficient functioning of electrical systems within facilities or industrial settings. Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on electrical equipment to extend equipment lifespan and efficiency.
• Diagnose electrical issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Install, inspect, and test electrical systems and components following standard protocols.
• Read and interpret diagrams, schematics, and manuals for equipment repairs.
• Ensure all electrical installations comply with regulatory codes and safety standards.
• Collaborate with facility management to assess and address electrical system needs.
• Keep accurate maintenance records and document all repairs and adjustments made.
• Assist in energy management initiatives to reduce facility electrical consumption and costs.
• Inspect wiring, transformers, motors, and generators to ensure they are in good working order.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior electricians and maintenance staff.
• Respond swiftly to emergency breakdowns to restore operational capacity promptly.
• Conduct regular safety checks and maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications are a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an industrial or commercial electrical maintenance role.
• Proficiency in reading schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals is required.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and safety regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in diverse environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in electrical troubleshooting.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and respond to emergency call-outs when needed.
• Possession of a valid electrician’s license or journeyman certification is preferred.
