IT Infrastructure Engineer (225-730)

An IT Infrastructure Engineer plays a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing the technology infrastructure of an organization. The engineer will be responsible for maintaining hardware and software systems, networking solutions, and cloud environments, and will have to work closely with other IT professionals to align IT infrastructure with business needs. Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure for optimal performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze infrastructure requirements and create innovative solutions.
• Manage and monitor network servers, VPNs, firewalls, and other IT infrastructure components.
• Evaluate and improve current IT processes to enhance efficiency and security.
• Install and configure operating systems, software applications, and system management tools.
• Conduct regular infrastructure audits to ensure compliance with security protocols and best practices.
• Monitor system performance to ensure high availability and reliability for end-users.
• Implement and manage cloud solutions and ensure their integration with existing systems.
• Provide technical support and training to internal teams on infrastructure-related issues.
• Document infrastructure design, configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures meticulously.
• Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure seamless IT service delivery.
• Develop disaster recovery plans and execute regular testing to ensure business continuity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in IT infrastructure engineering or a similar technical role is required.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols, virtualized environments, and storage solutions.
• Experience with cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, is essential.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills to resolve technical issues efficiently and effectively.
• Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools is a plus.
• Certification in network infrastructure or cloud architecture will be considered an advantage.
