Job Description

The Finance Officer in the Hospitality sector plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and integrity of the organization. This position requires a keen understanding of financial management, accounting principles, and the unique financial challenges faced by the hospitality industry. The Finance Officer will be responsible for preparing financial reports, developing budgets, and implementing financial policies to optimize fiscal performance. Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports in accordance with established standards.
  • Manage the budgeting process, including forecasts and variance analysis.
  • Implement financial policies and procedures to ensure organizational effectiveness.
  • Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts to ensure adequate liquidity.
  • Perform regular financial audits to validate compliance with financial regulations.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making by management.
  • Liaise with external auditors and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
  • Facilitate communication between finance and other departments to meet financial objectives.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable to ensure accurate and timely processing.
  • Develop and implement cost control measures to enhance financial performance.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely in the accounting system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a financial role within hospitality.
  • Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail in financial assessments.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver within tight deadlines.
