Job Description

A Business Analyst plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between IT and the business by using data analytics to assess processes, determine requirements, and deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to executives and stakeholders. Typically, a Business Analyst’s role involves deep-diving into business processes and systems to identify areas for improvement. By doing so, they help organizations enhance their operational efficiency, profitability, and ensure solutions align with the business objectives. They are instrumental in conducting market analyses, examining product lines, and analyzing the overall profitability of the business. Business Analysts are changemakers in an organization, as their insights often lead to impactful decisions that drive the company forward.


Responsibilities

  • Analyze business processes to identify inefficiencies and propose solutions for optimization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and refine business processes accordingly.
  • Conduct market research to stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitive analysis.
  • Design and document workflows and make appropriate recommendations for process improvements.
  • Develop technical solutions to business problems by defining, analyzing, and documenting requirements.
  • Create detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities, and solutions for the business.
  • Monitor solutions post-implementation to ensure they are delivering expected outcomes and benefits.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to review and gather inputs on process designs.
  • Support project management teams in assessing project risks and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Use data to figure out the best solutions based on business trends and needs.
  • Interact with IT teams to develop IT frameworks that ensure business continuity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related fields.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in related fields like data analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking skills are essential for this role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are critical for stakeholder interaction.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or similar software.
  • Experience in managing and facilitating workshops and requirement gathering sessions.
  • Ability to analyze and visualize data to uncover patterns and business insights.
