Job Description

The role of a Supply Chain Analyst in the E-Commerce sector is vital to the seamless operation of online retail businesses. As a Supply Chain Analyst, you will be tasked with the responsibility of analyzing and optimizing the supply chain processes to ensure efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service delivery. You will collaborate with various departments such as procurement, logistics, and sales to gather data and create reports that will inform decision-making processes. Your expertise will be pivotal in forecasting demand, managing inventory levels, and enhancing the customer experience. Responsibilities

  • Analyze supply chain data to identify areas for process improvements and optimization.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely and cost-efficient sourcing of products.
  • Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to reduce excess stock and stockouts.
  • Develop and implement demand forecasting models to predict customer purchasing trends.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate supply chain performance to management and stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the logistics team to streamline shipping and receiving processes.
  • Identify and evaluate potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation plans.
  • Utilize software tools and analytics to enhance supply chain efficiency and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with IT professionals to integrate new supply chain technologies or systems.
  • Conduct regular market research to understand industry trends and innovations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards for e-commerce supply chains.
  • Lead initiatives for cost reduction while maintaining service level standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a supply chain analyst or similar role in e-commerce.
  • Proficient in using supply chain software, ERP systems, and data analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex information to non-specialists.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of logistics, inventory management, and procurement processes.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
