Scrum Master (225-721)

The Scrum Master plays a crucial role in Agile teams, serving as a facilitator, coach, and guide to help the team improve its processes and optimize performance. This position focuses on supporting the team in following Scrum practices and principles, fostering an environment that encourages collaboration, openness, and continuous improvement. The Scrum Master works closely with Product Owners and Development Teams to deliver high-quality increments of products and remove impediments that may hinder team progress. This role requires strong communication skills, a deep understanding of Agile methodologies, and the ability to manage team dynamics effectively. An ideal candidate will be proactive, adaptable, and committed to nurturing an Agile mindset across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate daily Scrum meetings to ensure alignment and address concerns.
• Guide and mentor the Scrum team on Agile principles and practices.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to prioritize the backlog and plan sprints.
• Lean into resolving conflicts and challenges within the team environment.
• Identify and remove impediments to improve the team's efficiency and productivity.
• Foster a culture of open communication and continuous improvement within the team.
• Coordinate closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliverables.
• Track and report on project progress through Agile metrics and dashboards.
• Coach team members in self-management and cross-functionality practices.
• Organize and facilitate Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Ensure team adherence to Agile processes while maintaining flexibility and adaptability.
• Champion the Agile transformation initiatives within the organization effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience working as a Scrum Master or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, especially Scrum and Kanban.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills are necessary for guiding teams.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification is preferred.
• Experience using Agile tools such as Jira, Trello, or Microsoft Azure DevOps.
• Proficient in conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle and methodologies is beneficial.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
