QA Engineer (225-805)

The Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the superior quality of products through rigorous testing and analysis. Responsibilities

• Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases for software applications.
• Identify, record, document, and track bugs and system issues thoroughly.
• Work closely with development teams to understand software specifications.
• Perform regression testing post-implementation to ensure consistent software performance.
• Engage in continuous integration to maintain a smooth software development lifecycle.
• Analyze user stories and acceptance criteria to establish comprehensive test coverage.
• Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open-source tools.
• Conduct software performance testing and evaluate results against benchmark standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve software quality and delivery processes.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of test procedures and findings for reference.
• Improve testing processes and develop innovative solutions to complex challenges.
• Mentor junior QA staff in best practices for quality assurance and testing techniques.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a QA Engineer or in software quality assurance roles.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience in working with version control systems like Git or SVN.
• Excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for detail in finding software bugs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and logically.
• Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus.
