Job Description

As a Procurement Expert, you will be a pivotal part of our organization, responsible for managing the procurement processes that ensure our business operates efficiently and cost-effectively. You will be tasked with sourcing and managing the supply of goods and services that meet our company's quality standards and budgetary constraints. You will utilize your deep understanding of supply chain management, vendor negotiations, and contract management to optimize procurement activities and contribute to the organization's overall profitability. Your role will involve close collaboration with various departments, such as logistics, finance, and production, to ensure that procurement operations align with organizational goals and compliance standards.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost efficiency.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure the timely delivery of quality goods.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors to secure favorable terms.
  • Conduct market analysis to assess current market conditions and opportunities.
  • Monitor and manage procurement budgets to keep expenditures within limits.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast supply and demand needs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations in all procurement activities.
  • Implement best practices in procurement processes and supplier evaluations.
  • Resolve conflicts and disputes arising from procurement activities or agreements.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management review.
  • Oversee the maintenance of an up-to-date supplier database.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in the procurement function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in managing vendor contracts.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools, such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Excellent analytical skills capable of conducting detailed market analysis.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse teams.
  • Certified procurement professional, such as CPP or CPPO, is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement procurement policies and procedures effectively.
