Job Description

A Payroll Executive is an essential part of an organization's human resources and finance departments. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payment of employee salaries and related benefits. As a Payroll Executive, you will manage and oversee all aspects of the payroll process, from data collection and entry to issuing payments and generating reports. You will also be responsible for maintaining payroll records and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. In this role, you must be detail-oriented, possess excellent organizational skills, and have a thorough understanding of payroll processes and related legislation. Additionally, you should be adept at problem-solving and capable of addressing any payroll discrepancies or issues that may arise. Working closely with other departments, you will play a crucial role in maintaining employee satisfaction and trust.


Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all employees within the organization.
  • Ensure the accuracy of payroll data, including salaries, overtime, and deductions.
  • Calculate and process statutory deductions such as taxes and pension contributions.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information accurately.
  • Maintain up-to-date payroll records for all employees and handle data confidentiality.
  • Generate and distribute detailed payroll reports to management and relevant departments.
  • Stay updated with changes in payroll laws and regulations and ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate with HR to ensure timely processing of new hires, terminations, and promotions.
  • Address employee inquiries regarding payroll issues with professionalism and clarity.
  • Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure the timely deposit of payroll taxes and other statutory obligations.
  • Collaborate with finance to ensure accurate financial accounting of payroll expenses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in payroll administration or a similar role is required.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll software and systems, such as SAP or ADP.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential.
  • Good understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
