Responsibilities

• Design and implement new network solutions and improve resilience of current systems.
• Configure and install various network devices and services such as routers and switches.
• Monitor and maintain network operations and verify network performance through ongoing analysis.
• Identify network inefficiencies and recommend improvements for optimization and cost reduction.
• Install, configure, and support the organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and internet systems.
• Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose network issues.
• Manage and monitor all network security solutions to safeguard network data confidentiality.
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution and new projects.
• Document network configurations, topology, and network mapping for clarification and maintenance.
• Implement network policies and procedures to ensure best practices are followed.
• Ensure regular network performance monitoring and produce necessary reports for management.
• Stay current with technological advancements to determine solutions that will benefit the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Network Administrator or related role in IT infrastructure.
• Understanding of network protocols and services including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
• Familiarity with networking equipment such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with a detail-oriented approach to identifying problems.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or similar are highly desirable.
