Job Description

The IT Operations & Support Engineer plays a crucial role in maintaining and improving the IT infrastructure of an organization. This role involves overseeing a seamless day-to-day operation of IT services and supporting technology users in the organization. The engineer ensures that systems are secure, reliable, and efficient, working closely with other IT professionals to solve complex issues and optimize performance. Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
  • Implement and manage security solutions to protect IT systems from potential threats.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for IT-related procurements and repairs.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users to ensure proper use of technology.
  • Oversee the installation and configuration of new hardware and software systems.
  • Develop and maintain IT documentation, including system configurations and user manuals.
  • Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with IT policies and standards.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of IT projects and upgrades.
  • Ensure data backup and recovery plans are in place and tested regularly.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to continuously improve infrastructure efficiency.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance IT operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in IT operations or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including network administration and security.
  • Experience with various operating systems, such as Windows, Linux, and macOS.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving complex IT issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to provide clear support and training for end-users.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
